Loyal and True!!

The past two weeks have been a rough one for Cori and I! It started two weeks ago when we found out that our grandma had a heart attack. It was really hard on us because we weren't able to be there with her. There was lots of phone calls to our parents though checking up on her! The doctors said that it wasn't a very serious one but she still had to have a small surgery. They thought she would only be in the hospital for a few days but then her blood pressure dropped really low so they wouldn't let her go home. They did find her unresponsive a couple of times and it was determined that she had had several strokes so the prolonged her stay in the hospital. But the last couple of days she has been doing really well and they say she will be going home soon. But if that wasn't enough to handle another tragedy happened to our University. Friday we found out that a plane had crashed in Arkansas and it was carrying our Women's Head Basketball Coach, Kurt Budke, and his Assistant Coach, Miranda Serna. Also, on the plane was the pilot and his wife. All four lives were lost. This is hard because only 10 short years ago we lost a 10 members of the Men's Basketball program. I really could not believe the news when I heard it. No school should to deal with a loss like this much less have to deal with it twice. But one thing I know is the lives of those 4 people will never be forgotten. They will forever be on our hearts and in our prayers. It is so comforting though knowing that in a time of need your Cowboy family will always be there for you! "...Loyal and True..."

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Disney is always celebrating something whether it's Birthdays, Family Reunions, or the Holidays! Well, as soon as the last Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is over they begin taking everything down and start putting up Christmas decorations for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I love it so much because I celebrating Christmas. The first Christmas Party was on Nov. 8th! And yes Cori and I were there! We went with our roommate Leslie and her family. It was so much fun! There was even snow!! (well blowing foam but hey you gotta make do with what you have and considering it is still in the 80's here in FL foam is the best thing available!!) There are trees and lights everywhere you look! Oh and the Castle looks like it has icicles hanging from it! Instead of handing out candy like they so at Halloween they hand out hot chocolate and cookies!! They are so delicious! We are already planning our next Christmas Party in a couple of weeks! Here are some pictures of our Christmas Celebration!

From Orange County to Orange Country.....

Well in my last post I mentioned something about exciting news well the news was that Cori and I took a little trip back to Oklahoma over the weekend!!! :)

We called our parents about 3 weeks ago and asked if there was any way we could come home for a few days! Things worked out and we were able too! We went home for the Oklahoma State/Kansas State football game! It was a very stressful game but the Cowboys pulled it out in the end to stay undefeated. They are now 9-0 and ranked #2 in the BCS. It is definitely an exciting time to be a Cowboy.

Also we surprised our Aunt! She knew that my parents wanted the tickets for someone but they never told her who they were for. She was definitely surprised when I walked up behind her and asked her if she had any extra tickets for the game.

We didn't get to make it to Duncan since we flew in on Friday and then had dinner with my brother, sister-in-law and niece and nephew in Edmond and then we headed to Guthrie for the night and then on Saturday we headed to Stillwater for the game. We had so much fun and it is exactly what we needed to get through the rest of our Disney Program. Now we are back to our normal routine of working hard and playing on our days off!! Here are some photos of out trip home!

Another post will be coming soon! So stay tuned!!!
