Arrival Date is Set!

Well I finally set my arrival date!! I will be arriving on August 8th. I am so excited! This is the day before Cori and I's birthday! It will be weird not being with my family but I will be with my Disney World family. My parents also decided that they will drive down with my sister and I and they will also making 2 trips to see us. One at my mom's fall break and then sometime around Christmas. I think they are just as excited about us going down there as we are! Well I have done all that I can, now it is time to just sit and wait till it is time to leave.

Oh and hopefully my purple folder will get here this week!!!

Congratulations-You have been ACCEPTED

Well my dream has finally come true!! That is right I will be working at Walt Disney World in the Fall! I am so excited that this opportunity has been presented to me! Although this journey doesn't begin this year it actually begins about a year ago.

One year ago....

In April of 2010 Cori and I decided that we would interview for the Disney College Program (DCP). We went through the entire process only in the end we were not accepted. We were really sad about not getting it but we had great family and friends who were there for us. We think that the reason we did not get accepted is because we interviewed to late and they had already filled all the spots available. 

Now.....

Well our interview process started on February 3, 2011. We had been out of school for 3 days because of a snow storm that blew into town. On Thursday if that week we decided to take one more chance at getting accepted the DCP. Well we both passed the Web-based Interview, which is the first step to getting accepted. After we had passed that interview we made an appointment for a phone interview. Both of our phone interviews were scheduled for Saturday February 5, 2010. We were both excited!! Well we both had our interview and felt that they went really well. Well after that we just had to sit and wait to hear back. They tell you that it will take about 3-4 weeks to hear back from them. We were both really surprised we heard back because it had only been 2 weeks since our interview. When we found out that we were accepted we were at the OSU baseball game. Cori had checked her e-mail on her ipod touch and looked at me and said, "I'm in!" and I said, "You're in what?" haha... I really didn't know what she was talking about. She looked at me and said "I got accepted." I then got really nervous..... and started signing into my e-mail and i was shaking like you wouldn't believe. When I finally got signed in I found my e-mail that I was accepted also!! We were so excited that we had to leave. When we found out we called our family and after our family found out we started telling our friends. It was so exciting to tell people, especially the ones who were there for us last year when we didn't get it. 

Now I am just waiting for my purple folder to get here. The purple folder has all the information that you need to know about the DCP. I am really excited to share my journey with everyone.
